What is Young Adult Ministry? Young Adult Ministry is an outreach to women and men in their twenties and thirties, married and single. Our purpose is to put people in contact with each others their own age who share their faith and values, and offer some alternatives to what is currently available in our culture.
Are there people around who share my values? Absolutely! And they, like you, are looking to meet others their age who share our Christian values. Young Adult Ministry can help put you in contact with other people and programs that respond to your interests and needs.
The bars are good, but is there anything else? You Betcha! We offer many different events in different settings to make young adults feel welcomed. While events like Brewing the Faith and Theology on Tap meet at a restaurant, we also hold monthly dinners in someone's home. We also hold events at the parish and other places around the community; like Boat Cruses, Sporting Games, etc.
How do you meet good people once you’ve moved here? Get involved! What would you love to do? There are young adults coming together to have a good time and just be social, to dialog with one another and reflect on what’s important, to share gifts through service projects, to learn more about the Catholic faith, and to participate in great worship. You are invited to connect with others for whatever interests you most.
What does it mean to be a person of faith today? Great question! How about gathering with your peers for a small faith group, a dialogue group, or Bible study to discuss it further? We can help you find some good options for entering into great conversation.
Is there any good worship around? We hope you find St. Charles as a parish with great preaching, great music and great hospitality. But there are a number of other Catholic parishes in the lake country area where you can be spiritually fed, get involved, and share your gifts. There are also other great worship opportunities like XLTs or ARISE.
Where can I give some of my time or talent? There are lots of ways to share your time and talent! Besides volunteer with Habitat for Humanity on Serve Saturdays or going on a week-long mission trip, you can also be part of our core team to help plan future events. There are also many opportunities to volunteer at St. Charles or your local parish!
